To Match a very good Stockport side over 2 games in the national league is immense. Well done lads. Shows how far we’ve come when we’re consistently picking up results against anyone in this league. The last 4-5 times we’ve been in this division games like this were almost a write off

Very entertaining second half in particular.

Great credit to Parky, Sorvs and the lads against one of the favourites for promotion.
Tony T kept us in it first half, but you could also say Hinchcliffe saved a point for county at the end.
We looked very threatening on the break and down the wings, plus with injured players coming back have very good attacking options from the bench now. Still work in progress getting the centre forward position nailed down. Good to see Sutton and Mullarkey back.

Have to say the stream co commentator (Whelan?) saying at the start that they provide the most professional commentary in the league was setting himself up for a hell of a fall. Seconds later he was saying Phil Parkinson used to play for Alty (if you don't know, don't just make stuff up).
Later saying Ceesay has no left foot (the same left foot that was good enough to score against county a week ago), and then Ceesay promptly crosses with his left foot seconds later....

Well done to the lads though, second half in particular we played some decent stuff

Blyth no worse than others we've tried up top, none of whom are any better than Peers (who would have given us 3 points but for Hinchliffe's top drawer block). Do we think Fylde might cut their losses on Hulme and sell him back at a loss ?

Id keep macdonald as he seems to be a bit of a goal poacher. The rest id bin off.

Although it looked a decent save peers really should have scored imho.

I don't think getting Hulme back would work out. He was demotivated when Salford binned him. He'd be worse if he's had two attempts at full time and it didn't fulfill his dream.

We'd all have Jordan back but his wages might be problematic.

Could only see it happening on loan otherwise he would be taking a big pay cut  to go part time again.

A Lazarus-like recovery there after an extremely substandard first-half performance which followed the template of our recent dispiriting sequence of surrenders at Edgeley Park.

Mooney was woefully ineffective and I'm afraid that Blyth exhibited all the mobility of a wounded elk. We were so much better in the second half when those two were replaced and Hancock began to have a positive impact on the game.

I thought that Smith was our standout performer although Thompson definitely merits a mention for keeping us in the game during the opening 30 minutes.

What is doubly encouraging is that we are certainly not being found wanting in terms of fitness and there is clearly a strong sense of belief in the squad that we are capable of bouncing back from a two-goal deficit.

I obsessively monitor Fylde, Chester and Wrexham results every week for Hulme, Johnston and Durrell goals, and there never are any.

A lot of good points in the earlier comments,

The commentary was pretty good in general, although Whelan said some stupid things, as was  also mentioned on the Stockport County yellow board.

The subs worked very well, especially Josh Hancock; on the other hand, I think Jacob Blyth is probably best off concentrating on  organising his wedding in the future. Special praise must also go to Tony Thompson who kept us in the game when we were really under the cosh in the first 20 minutes, but, once again, we finished so strongly against a full-time club who are one of the very best teams in the league in a really enjoyable match.

Yep, great summary. Hancock starting on the bench perhaps gave him a bit of a kick up the backside, as he was superb once he got on. I do hope we can do something with Alistair Smith too, he’s been a real asset to the team these last two months. Stockport losing two of their star men to injury at HT obviously helped us but I was surprised at how badly they faded in the second half. Just hope the weather allows us to get a few home games on now, they look winnable and a chance to solidify a top half push.
