I would have to say that thus far The Referee, Mr Parsons, has been poor.
His foul detection  random at best and his man management abject

We can't just blame the ref though. The defending has been atrocious and we didn't look like scoring even with 11.

Alty are so naive. Sliding into tackles when there's no need. Boreham Wood are doing a professional job.

Wasn't trying to attach all, or indeed much blame to him.
We have been defensively iffy all game and naive in a number of areas of the game.

Was just saying that, having been comparatively content with most of the refs I've seen this season, he is below the standard of the rest

This. Unfortunately.

I think 'professional' is a modern euphemism though, but I know exactly what you mean.

Time for Mullarkey at number ten for the second half I think.

How on earth did Brian Flynn and John Edwards so completely misread the sending off of Connor Hampson?!

Like the team, they've also been below their usual high standards so far this afternoon.

Time for a mini shake up ? Maybe  couple of quality players in from National North on loan ie striker and winger if Colclough is going to be out for a while .

Fully agree. I don’t understand how they criticise the referee (which I agree was terrible) but seem to not be allowed to criticise poor performances from players.

They tell us Alty have played well when I’ve seen enough football to know they didn’t play well again for the third game running.

Becoming slightly too biased for my liking.

The ref was deplorably poor (did they pull him off a park pitch in Miles Platting at short notice ?) but the biggest problem was conceding the 3rd so quickly after the restart. We didn't really deserve anything from that - they looked a much better outfit tan when we won at their place, despite their best player that day having joined Huddersfield.

I don't fancy us at Chesterfield on Tuesday, especially as they won at Notts County this afternoon.

They both explained that they were over the other side of the pitch and admitted they hadn’t seen it. It’s not easy when it’s happening in real time with a limited view in fairness to them.
