Well done to the lads for a great result, but saying that Kings Lynn very unlucky with 2 quality strikes smacking the bar.

Still, some good performances tonight and we looked more dangerous up front than in recent games, although not sure KL keeper has played much at this level, so that didn't help KL.

Tony T made another quality save again and the defence did well overall. As mentioned, we are still giving the ball away too much for our passing game but well pleased with the result.

If I were the King's Lynn chairman, I'd furlough that goalkeeper ASAP and play the 50-year-old Paul Bastock instead.

It appears we have finally found some help for JH in replacing the goals lost by JH's departure by signing JH.

A fine performance against a team who matched us until we scored our 2nd.
Smith was limping at the end, which is a worry given he is our best player by a mile.
Hardy did very well but I'd still choose Kysolo ahead of him. Still, no need to muck around with other wingers now.
Piggott worked hard and given time, maybe the goals will come - I'd like to see Bell get more game time.
I've no idea what the team will be on Saturday as so many players appear to be unavailable at the moment.
We can all be pretty happy tonight 😊

I was happy. A draw on Saturday against a stronger team and I'll be happier still.

I hope Smith and Ringo aren't too bad. Ringo was strugging with a knock before the tackle that caused him to be substituted.

Win is a win, well done Alty
Effort was there, and Hardy & Ritchman did really well.
Smith & Colclough are a handful for any opposing team.
Kings Lynn were lively and passed the ball well for 15 or 20 minutes, Gash is also a handful but faded.
Their Goalie had a difficult night though.
Game over at 3-0.
Maidenhead will be a different proposition, but for what the season holds for us now I’d keep the same team, if all fit.

Difference last night was our finishing, we created a bit more and we finished the moves, that was the difference over recent performances. More of the same please.

If all fit, why change a winning side!!

Kosylo's played a lot of minutes this season, I'd be tempted to keep him on the bench for the weekend.

That said, I'd much rather we gave subs a good half-hour to make a difference - happens all the way up to the Prem, I can't be the only person that find that a bit frustrating!

3 points- happy days.
I thought everyone put a shift in without anyone really shining.
Smith was all over the park, probably my first name on the team sheet each week.
Hardy showed glimpses of class and defo deserved a start. Great goal.
TT made another fantastic save.
Moult was a lot more steady with Smith next to him.
Still need a left sided player at LB. Senior did OK but looked to pass inside a lot and a couple of his balls were cut out and put us under pressure.
Need to be much better on Sat. Unfortunately I think Hardy will lose his place to Kossy ( more enegry and direct play ) but he should be our first sub choice.

26 goals from. Midfielders
9 from strikers

5 goals if we remove Fa Cup and trophy

It's fascinating to observe just how different the perceptions of the same football match can be.

Take Josh Hancock's second goal last evening, for example, which elicited the following descriptions of his free kick:

(1) the Altrincham FC website match report:

"Hancock took aim from a free-kick a good 25 yards out, slightly to the right of the D, and curled it imperiously over the wall and past the diving Richardson to record the 350th goal of Phil Parkinson's spectacular reign as Alty boss."

(2) the Altrincham FC Twitter updates:

"Hancock bent a delightful free-kick into the top right corner."

(3) the King's Lynn Town FC website match report:

"Altrincham extended their lead on 57 minutes with a bit of luck. Hancock’s free kick from just outside the area saw it take a deflection off the Lynn wall and beat Theo Richardson in goal."

(4) the match report on John Laidlar's website:

"From 22 yards, slightly right of centre, Josh Hancock's freekick deflected off the wall and looped past Richardson to double Alty's lead.

Jackson's two shots against the bar and this slightly fortuitous Alty goal must have confirmed to King's Lynn that their luck was out tonight (58 mins)."

I have to say that John Laidlar's account corresponds most closely to my own view of the incident.

JL site usually most reliable.
