Kings Lynn AWAY Match Thread - EASTER MON
« on: April 01, 2021, 07:02:04 PM »

So we play Kings Lynn again for the second time in a couple of wks on Easter Monday... team appears quite stable at mo with probably same or similar starting XI to last couple of games...

Kosylo could make bench... assume two of three loanees have returned to their clubs as Gibson & Zouma signed 1mth loans on March 1st, whereas Ogle had his loan extended til end of season...

Predicted Team:
                       Thompson
Senior   Mullarkey   Hannigan   Connor
                     Moult    Smith
           Hardy   Hancock   Colclough
                          Piggott

Subs- Ogle, Williams, Kosylo, Ceesay, Bell

Score Prediction: KL 0-2 ALTY (Hancock, Piggott)...  COYR!

Ha Ha...  :) :) :)

My wife sponsors one of his shirts as a Player's Sponsor so guess feels like we know him & can use his first name... all that after a personalised chrimbo message for sponsoring him from Connor aka Mr Hampson...  :)

Maybe my better halve could launch a Connor Hampson Fan Club!  ;D  ;D  ;D

I'd join the Connor Hampson Fan Club.

But he'd still be Hampson

Guess we should all refer to him as Mr Hampson as think his daytime job is a teacher... :)

Getting back to the game itself, think Hardy deserves to keep his place ahead of Kosylo after recent performances but also think Kosylo should make the bench... at present, looks like Hardy, Hancock & Colclough have the three spots behind the striker at mo... hoping Piggott gets a goal, but if not hope Bell gets some decent game time as a 2nd half sub... Before Monday's match v Kings Lynn, other clubs closed up to us on Good Fri re number of games played making league table more realistic with Alty still hovering around midtable...

We're 11th in the official table, 14th in PPG table, & 12th in Form table (last 6 games)...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/national-league/table

https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/national-league/league-table/ppm

https://thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=5

With a good run in the remaining games guess we could still sneak into the playoffs, but realistically will probably finish midtable where spent most of the season... lets be honest, most of us would all have taken midtable safety at the start of the season with opportunity to kick on next season towards playoffs... Parky & the Board are doing a great job...

Really looking forward to Monday's game and the remaining games this season, plus hopefully a finale with fans in our last game v Torquay (finger crossed)... COYR!

As an add on to last post... what a fantastic achievement midtable/top half will be when you consider that we are presently classed as part time (going towards hybrid) whereas most other teams in our league are full time...
Well done lads!

Roll on Monday v Kings Lynn... lets keep the momentum going and push on... as i say, looking forward to next game...

Would have been a cracking weekend for a trip to King's Lynn. It really is a very pleasant town with a lot of history (and  a very good history trail). We were there a couple of summers ago and we walked through the big park and afterwards I said to Mrs Hale Alty "I think the football ground is near here", and she said, "We've just walked past it". Goodness know where I was looking.

Missing out on meeting a mate who lives localish. He owes me a pint, it'll wait.

It's been quite an achievement especially when you recognise that we couldn't get promoted this season. York and Boaston will still be languishing in national north next season.
