I'm sure the pitch will be fine today, although its 9.33am by the ground and snowing. Not rained much in preceding week here.

We normally do well against better opposition, lets hope it continues today.

Halifax fanbase were falling over themselves wanting Nyal Bell back.

So why the hell aren't we playing him?!
I think the current management team of whoever Bell plays for are better qualified to select a player, with all their current knowledge of a player’s performance in training, than a collection of unqualified individuals from a previous club’s forum with only historic performances to draw on.

What's the point of the forum if we're not allowed to discuss football ideas?

Still no Smith or Kosylo... no Hampson... Gould on bench... as is Bell again... Ceesay in for Hardy who also drops to bench...
Wonder if missing players are injured, dropped, or just rested? Oh well, we go with this team; so let's get behind em!

I wonder if Gould is on bench because TT has picked up an injury ? I sincerely hope not !

If I'm being honest, I'm not optimistic with that team. I would be ecstatic to be wrong though.

I don't think the management should be too concerned at our failure to convert chances. In that woeful 45 minutes we barely created any chances. There were long periods when it was hard to tell which side were playing towards the Golf Road end. At one point we had a free kick at half way, and it ended up with TT without a Halifax player touching it ! We've been second best by quite some way and I don't see the management turning water into wine at HT. Prediction 0-3.

I think the unending criticism of the surface by the commentary team is both unfair to the ground staff and, to be honest, erroneous.

Halifax seem to be having significantly fewer problems with it than we are.

The constant criticism of the playing surface is embarrassing and cringeworthy.

Halifax are used to playing on a midden. The pitch is way short of its best. It actually doesn't matter who plays up front - it might as well be Foz for all the service he'd receive. Not many emerged from that without being deserving of criticism.

That was a thoroughly abject performance, the worst I've seen this season by some considerable distance.

I feared the worst when I saw the team sheet. Earlier in the season, we were struggling for goals even with the creativity of Kysolo and Smith, now without them, we don't actually look like fashioning out even a goalscoring opportunity.

Ogle did well enough to earn a contract (should he be available). As for the rest...I just hope there aren't too many 2-year contracts.

Moult and Williams together DOES NOT WORK. The tempo is much much much too slow.
Piggott and Ceesay are NOT going to score goals at this level against these sorts of defenders - neither are good enough to either hold the line, or put the ball in the net.

Hardy looks ok. Why he was dropped I'll never know. Hanks is the only lad who can score, why bring him off? These are the questions I'd love to put to Phil.

I have to say with more endeavour they could have done better there.
Hopefully the end of Piggot
Both full backs poor.
Colclough the only one that looked likely out of all of them.
Awful from Williams.
Pitch not to blame both teams played on it and once they scored that was it.
Lot of work to be done in close season and it has to be better than previous pre seasons.

Some very salient points there.

What an utter non-event that game was. I've had more excitement creosoting the fence.

Pedestrian build-up and a miniscule threat in attack with the exception of Colclough.

Hancock was below par and Piggott was anonymous (and he has now exceeded 500 minutes without scoring a goal).

Our solitary goal in our last three matches has been that Colclough fluke at Maidenhead. That says it all.
