That was absolutely ridiculous. It made Rushden and Diamonds fc look good. Enough said.

There certainly seemed to be an attitude prevalent among the stewards that it was necessary for them to justify their heavy presence. Calling in the police served only to demonstrate their general incompetence. I was not impressed by having my energy drink confiscated. And I still don't understand why a plastic bottle cap is seen as a weapon of mass destruction.

Quite aside from blatantly lying to us that there would be no refreshments available, I still don't understand how a club their size couldn't set themselves up for e-ticketing, or at least card payments. All told, a rather dispiriting afternoon. At least my dodgy back didn't stop me getting up to the Three Pigeons. The Voodoo chocolate orange stout was the highlight of the day.

Sadly we got exactly what they pre warned us of . An inhospitable environment. The warnings were there for all to see . One turnstyle no card exact cash no food and drink etc .

The Shay yesterday was a dreadful experience. Good luck to them hosting Stockport, Chesterfield, Wrexham and Notts County under those conditions. Awful.
The 3 Pigeons and the cafe just by the ground however, were fabulous.

I actually thought the experience was fine enough up until the obvious issues. Two turnstiles, got in quickly, pleasantly surprised to see refreshments were on, and they gave change.

Event in the second half was entirely unnecessary and something they wouldn't have dreamed of doing if it was Stockport or Notts County.

Let's hope the club remember our fans experience at The Shay and give the home fans similar hospitality.

Back to Halifax, I was amused to see some of their supporters today saying that they were boycotting the draw at Boreham Wood as the latter were such an unfriendly, inhospitable club.
