Altrincham 3-7 Slough. As surreal a game as I’ve ever seen at moss lane. Up there with being 5-1 up against Merthyr inside 17 minutes the season prior (final score 9-2)

I'll never forget watching alty away at Slough in the early 90s and them beating a drum for 89 mins . Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum ... Slough .....repeat . We scored in the 89th min . They stopped 😂 so I sang it till the final whistle for them 😂😂

We never lost at Wexham - we might have got stung though! I'm glad they got a ground sorted out after that nonsense with the council.

When are Northwich Victoria going to get a ground by the way?

Wycombe legend Mark West who made his debut for The Chairboys against Alty in the trophy semi final, scoring in both legs, was playing for Slough that day I note.
