I've just received a copy of the programme for the Northern Premier League match between Alty and Wigan Athletic on 25th October 1975.....

......and one of the pages has been autographed by none other than DAVE FURNIVALL!

What a legend he was....

Dave Furnivall....I remember him, wasn't he a big Les Rigby signing from Great Harwood or somewhere?!  Ah, the glory of the Les Rigby years!!

Well I've got a 1976 Altrincham vs Netherfield programme signed by John Vernon! (and more impressively Rotherham vs Alty signed by all the players and the management team - from the 2-0 not from the 0-5!!)

You are indeed very fortunate Cult.......that's got to be worth a fortune on e-bay!!

He was dreadful wasn't he.I think that he may have scored a decent header against Gainsborough Trinity in the Trophy (2-2 at home got whapped away about 4-1 I think) but apart from that...totally useless.....he made Eric Shreeve look like Luca Toni!!

Les Rigby....decent man but poor manager at Alty....god rest his soul.
