Marcus Hallows
« on: August 23, 2007, 10:25:08 PM »

Just come in from the Quarrybank in Timperley.
Noticed that they are having a 'family fun day' on Sunday (face painting, DJ etc), all for a local charity.
Live on stage at 9pm is "Marcus Hallows as Elvis" !

Thought I would post this for anyone who likes a beer, likes Elvis and would like to see Marcus 'perform' in Altrincham once again

Just for the benefit of any younger supporters / new supporters / forum readers from other clubs.................Marcus is an ex Alty striker who suffered an horrendous leg injury during the Conference North 'promotion season' (04-05) in a game versus Ashton United.

Sadly it was his last game as a player, however he has continued with his 'other' job as an Elvis impersonator

Never let it be said that our Clubcall man is out of touch with the kids.

Ecky,

I think that you may have got the wrong end of the stick here.

Mister Flynn is actually attending the annual Leeds Festival of Morris Dancing.

Get down to The Quarry Bank tonight to see Marcus Hallows as Elvis!!
« Reply #6 on: August 26, 2007, 10:32:30 AM »

A number of people I spoke to yesterday expressed interest in going to see Marcus at The Quarry Bank Tonight at 9pm, including two of our three youth team coaches....I didn't speak to George Heslop!!

Anyway I am sure it will be good & I know that Marcus would be delighted to see a few Alty fans in attendance.

Time to get the Alty shirt on and wear it with pride! They have an auction at 17:00 today for a signed Alty shirt, so might be worth a visit before Elvis appears, Marcus for one deserves some support! ;D

Can someone ask him to come back and play for us please? A one legged Marcus Hallows will score more than Joe O Neil anyday.

Forum Meister Warrington & Chairman of Vice Rowley are the lastest to confirm attendance tonight. Also Man of the Match from this afternoon's superb 8-2 victory for the Alty Idols (Foz) will be signing autographs & fending off women!!

It sounds like it's going to be a good night!

I do hope that Marcus won't be singing Way Down this evening, as it could upset some of the Alty fans present in the audience...

I think A Little Less Conversation may be more apt given recent events.

Absolutely Brilliant! It was great to see a lot of the Alty "boys and girls" turning up - Marcus really did appreciate it.

I have suggested to Mr Rowley that its time to book Marcus for Alty (singing this time) - I am sure he will pack the place.

I am looking forward to the replay anyway! Mr Cult, yes Elvis has at last left the building!;D
