felt sorry for there keeper

after the match when we were walking round to collect the brushes to clean up saw him sat on the bench head in his hands (may have been crying) because of and alcoholic bully jim smith (either that or he didn't like what was shouted towards him in the first half). still felt sorry for him, he was rubbish but also lucky kind of like the real madrid keeper who is just a shot stopper and punches everything never catches but get's away with it.

admittedly the lad had a bad game but hey that happens increasingly often to me. any keeper who makes a mistake at moss lane gets called dodgy keeper, and most of the stuff is the norm here, but there was the 1 prick who was stood behind me who insisted on bollocking him with harsh comments

Did you get a description of this "prick"?

I only ask because I was winding him up yesterday and rattled him as well.  When the manager states in the paper that "the lad Tardif is Ok but he can't catch crosses" its hard likely to fill him with confidence and any advantage we can gain can help.

We give him a real boost by not crossing it until 50 minutes so someone had to do something.

If you think about it really, he got no more stick then any other keeper does when they are at moss lane.
If you ask me he probably got a mouth full of that Wiskey drinking alcoholic that is the oxford manager?

to be perfectly honest, oxford didnt do themselves any good by openly publicising that their keeper was crap at crosses. Alty capalised on it throughout the games (both fans AND players).

I believe that he had been told in the Dressing Room after the match that he had been released

Bit harsh that.
he was obviously nervous due to everyone knowing a particular weakness, but was not at fault for our goal, as a great strike from sedge.

He was poor and flapped at every high ball, but shot stopping wise was decent and telling him he was released iN the dressing room away from home with a long drive ahead after the ecstacy of a win is bloody harsh...JIM SMITH YOU B#8TARD!!!
