This club is in desperate need for a cup run and has been for many years, its vital to improve publicity and of cause financially it could be the key to us staying up. The players should sit down and watch the Giant Killers DVd before the first game and have Altys traditions with the FA cup drilled into them.

My missus grew up in Dinnington S Yorks, I doubt anyone else on here has been there? It used to be a pit village before Thatcher closed them all down, thus killing communities in the process. Its a strange place now, a mixture of new "executive" homes and the remains of the old village but unemployment is high. The old mine is cleared you'd never know it ever existed.

I wouldn't fancy getting them away though, I think that could turn out a bit rough, Frickley in  83-84 anyone?

SW,
Sounds just like Thurnscoe which is just up the road, where my Grandparents lived.   Shell of a place these days.   The old Hickleton Main team had a half decent ground with better crowds than Droylesden back in the day!!

Nope, it's the 27th. When we get to play a half-decent conference team away.

The draw for the next round gives the following... I can see a few who I would prefer from this list.

I am not too sure which are going to be in the northern section, but those later in the draw don't look very likely!

Harrogate Railway  v Matlock Town
Harrogate Town /Nantwich Town  v Clitheroe
Barrow  v Fleetwood Town
West Auckland Town  v Bamber Bridge
Dinnington Town  v Bradford (Park Avenue)
Belper Town  v Southport
Gainsborough Trinity  v Blyth Spartans AFC
Stalybridge Celtic  v Workington
Kendal Town  v Woodley Sports
Prescot Cables /Guiseley AFC  v Vauxhall Motors
Rushall Olympic  v Hednesford Town /Alfreton Town
Cambridge City /Chasetown  v Rainworth MW /Kidsgrove Athletic
Tamworth  v Kings Lynn
Boston United  v Hinckley United
Evesham United  v Halesowen Town
Glapwell /Market Drayton Town  v Corby Town
Kettering Town  v Solihull Moors
Bromsgrove Rovers /Nuneaton Borough  v Stamford AFC
Droylsden
Halifax
Northwich
Stafford Rangers
York
Burton Albion

I think the majority of BSN teams in there will be happy with that, many home draws and not many all BSN ties.

Kettering, Harrogate, Boston and Tamworth and maybe Stalybridge should be happy.

A tricky tie for Barrow if they don't sort it out first time round at home to Fleetwood and a potential banan skin for Southport although they do have steady away form thus far.
