I think it bis a great great shame that Martin Jol has been forced to resign from our old foes Tottenham.

He has always handled press interviews with great humour & honesty and I believe he is a man of great integrity & dignity, especially when his chairman was talking to prospectove new managers whils his current manager was still at the club.

Especially when you compare him to some of the characters we find ourselves up against in the BSN, it is a great shame there are not more people like Jol in football.

I wish him luck

Premier league managers are judged on results. He spent millions but failed miserably. Why Defoe stays at Tottenham is one of the great mysteries of the 21st century.

It should, but until it's moved...I think you'll find he's actually gone by 'mutual consent' aka you can't argue with the sack! To resign immediately means forfeiting the rest of a lucrative contract so there'll be no word on the exact (exit stage left) movement until his agent gets the chance to straighten things out.

To bring it remotely back to Alty, Clive Allen will be in charge on saturday, assisted by ex Exeter manager Alex Inglethorpe, nice move up there Alex old boy.

p.s. Foul throw, bollocks! Constable's goal was fine!  >:(
