agreed the artical is spot on and also picks up on a point that understandably with the result has been missed on here but i know many fans who share the view writen in this article about robbie lawton:

One shining light, however, was Robbie Lawton. The stocky Scouser certainly didn't have his best game in an Alty shirt but his commitment to the cause was truly admirable.

Lawton left no blade of grass uncovered, no opposition player unchallenged and although there were others who could claim they gave it their all, he was the ultimate example of what derby games should encompass.

It is this attitude upon which any Alty revival must be based.

Report is spot on.
As for robbie always applys effort, players need to look at him and think what they want to do.
Theres ex-league players in our side and the guy who wants it most has come from a lower league.

Have to agree with the article. We need 100% from every player, or let them go.

The midfileld needs sorting out first with a balance of fiesty and passing players.

Agreed, our midfield is terrible, there is no link at times between the defence and attack, hence the constant booting of the ball long!
