Alty v Kidderminster Updates
« on: January 08, 2008, 07:41:35 PM »

I'm quarantined here in the shadow of Moss Lane, still trying to overcome flu and a chest infection, all of which means that I am unable to attend tonight's match.

From our bedroom window, I can see two thirds of the Moss Lane pitch, so I will endeavour to follow the action....although, alas, the Golf Road End comprises the third of the pitch that is out of my vision!

I'll do my best to post occasional updates.

Weather conditions: dry but extremely windy.

The most enlightened start to a game at Moss Lane in a long time!

Incredibly appalling conditions.

Thunderstorm, amazing lightning and incessant rain.

Thunderstorm appears to be fading.

Still pouring with rain though.

I once set that as a quiz question on local radio! Which 70s/early 80s rock band is a traditional Yorkshire greeting?

On the Out of the Blue album they had Concerto for a Rainy Day?

Side three
This side is titled Concerto for a Rainy Day.

"Standin' in the Rain" – 4:20
"Big Wheels" – 5:10
"Summer and Lightning" – 4:13
"Mr. Blue Sky" – 5:05

Three quarter stand? Half of one half plus half of the other half equals half the pitch.

Not sure what he was thinking there....
