The business end of the table:

17 Rushden & D'monds 31 2 38
18 Halifax 30 -3 33
19 Altrincham 33 -24 28
20 Weymouth 30 -14 27

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

21 Farsley Celtic 31 -24 25
22 Stafford Rangers 31 -30 18
23 Northwich 31 -34 18
24 Droylsden 31 -47 13

The lads will all be getting nosebleeds this high up the table!

Isn't this the highest we've been all season?

Yes, and we've never actually been bottom

Ha Ha Usa. Took her once , no one has ever hated football more!

You'll know in a few years.

Joking apart, when's the due date?

You know a win against Halifax a week today could drag them into it even with their games in hand. They dont seem to be winning many.

I don't know about that.  My sister was fairly against it when she spent her 7th birthday being driven to Wembley from Huddersfield with me and my friend in the back of the car - the look on her face when she found out that 0-0 meant another half an hour!  And then a long trip back with grumpy family after we lost to Enfield!

Halifax will be better than expected but it's a game we are well capable of winning. That run of three home games in 8 days looks absolutely crucial now.

I have just remembered that Little and Jennings didn't play.

Even better!

BBC report:

Torquay 1-1 Altrincham
Torquay stretched their unbeaten run in the Blue Square Premier to six games but were held by Altrincham.
The Gulls dominated the early stages and Altrincham goalkeeper Stuart Coburn had to be alert to deny Kaid Mohamed and Chris Zebroski.

But Zebroski soon put the home side ahead with a fine finish from outside the penalty area.

Torquay wasted more chances and paid when Warren Peyton levelled with a penalty after a foul on Joe O'Neill.

Don't panic - remember the siege in Doncaster back in 1999!

The game reminded me of Doncaster from about 20 minutes in last night.....we were talking about that on the coach  home!

The expert summariser is a fella who goes to every game with his mate Dave - says he wrote in by email. So, any Alty fans want to write in for Saturday's match - would be good to hear a balanced commentary!

Mention it to Dennis, I think he'd be up for it. ;D

I thought his behaviour was a bit Fan/Flynn like......punching the air & out of his seat when Zebroski scored & head in his hands when the ref pointed to the spot. ;)

Dennis....or David would be perfect for St. James's Park on Saturday :o
