Anyone else dumbfounded that we were playing as strong a team as we could when we have 5 unbelieveably crucial games coming up???

I know it's nice to win silverware, but surely retaining conference status and avoiding fatigue and injury is more important than the Cheshire cup!!   ???

I can only assume that, with so many loanees ineligable, there wasn't any other players left.

WE SHOULD'VE WON THE CHESHIRE SENIOR CUP.

Did we ever actually win the NW Floodlit league?

Sedgemore, Scott, Aspinall, Owen and McFadden all on the bench!  They could have started instead of the first teamers like Shotton, Little, Lawton etc!

whats odd is that if you google north west floodlit league nearly all the results are from the alty legends pages. there is one from mossley and one from bradford park avenue, both talking about power cuts in 74!  maybe it was a weird hallucination affecting alty and never really happened.

BRIAN LEBOUTILLIER
Longstanding supporters of Altrincham FC will be interested to hear that the former Robins' forward Brian Leboutillier has been in touch with the website. Brian, who made a number of first-team appearances for Alty in the 1979-81 period, is now living in Salisbury, Wiltshire where he holds a senior position with O2(UK), the communications company. He came to Moss Lane via local football after playing for Heys Albion. Brian maintains his football links by managing Bemerton Heath Harlequins Reserves, who play in the Jewson Wessex League -they won 5-2 last weekend! He sends his best wishes for Christmas and New Year to all at Altrincham FC and hopes to make a visit to Moss Lane in January or February.
