Yet again we could have saved ourselves with the right result but we failed  :(

Bring on the traditional annual folding/expulsion from the league....

As GH said, at lest we have a club. Its well run, it has heart, it has fantastic fans (my great admiration for the fantastic support today).

I'm still p*ssed off though - despite an excellent performance from the team

Not yet. Lets sit back, ponder and then - only then - be constructive. For now we just commiserate and wait for the AGM

The team did not fail us today the ref did,1 missed decision for muffs first and again for the second a foul on shotton not given and they score from the resulting play. Why he sent Scotty off was a mystery to all The Alty fans in the ground.Muffs no19 every time he made a challenge he used an elbow but did not get booked at all for it and then after the game had the cheek to clap at the Alty fans.Fans never let up with their singing. We werre very unlucky not to have got the three points today. The lads gave it their all Shotton could hadly walk come the end.
One footnote for some reason the police decided to all rush over to the Alty end just before the final whistle, why again know one knows,i suggested it was to protect the ref.

Agreed H. From the TV coverage we should have been playing against 8 men. Though Scotty, interviewed afterwards, said he raised his hands to the playern and justified the ref's decision, I believe that says more about his sportsmanship & integrity than whether he deserved to be sent off. He should have got no more than a yellow.

There were occassions when it was those who should have been sent off who made goal saving tackles & interceptions.

However, as GH said, there are 46 games in a season....

We will rise again, perhaps next season, but if not one day soon.

Financially we are now strong, ironically it took till this year to sort that. WE WILL RETURN.

Watched it in the pub and we deserved the win, never mind all the lads gave 100%.

See you next season. Come on Alty

Just back in.

Support was superb today.  players were fantastic too.  The gesture of throwing the shirts in the crowd was a really good one.  waiting to clap the players out onto the coach afterwards they started chucking socks and t-shirts, shorts etc.  Big Haired Mike has a full kit including (broken) boots!

Most gutted looking player award goes to Warren, there was a clear winner for least gutted as well but best not name names.

The foul on Shotton that led to their second goal was a disgraceful decision.  I really can't see how he gave that the other way.

Worst challenge of the day was late in the second half, their 23 on Shotton.  A definate straight red, it was premeditated as Ryan has just flattened their full back (completely fair challenge, eyes and head on the ball arms down), probably didn't look so bad from the refs angle so he got away with yellow.  They really were very lucky to end with 10 on the pitch.

The away support did think we'd scored when young hit the bar - what happened to it?

Last Southern game for a while I think.  I just don't have the same feeling about the AGM that I did last year.  If we get a reprieve I'd be thrilled but I'd much rather Crawley finally get justice than Halifax going out of existence altogether.

Well played today lads, a great effort :'(
