why is an airhorn dangerous?

Presumably because you could deafen someone with it.

Yes, I am aware you could injure some one with a drum stick in the eye, ear, nostril etc... However an air horn could cause damage completely by accident, to inflict damage with a drum stick you have to be actively trying to cause damage.

If we then ban everything that may cause any type of damage, intend or unintended, we would end up watching the match wearing nothing but mittens whilst sitting on a bouncy castle.

At a guess, no.

Hence them not being banned.

Agree with Jimmy. It would make us a laughing stock if we banned them because a few fans didn't like it. Boo hoo. Sing over the drum and ignore it. The constant griping over an instruments at games is getting ridiculous. Concentrate on our team/fans etc, not what the other lot are doing.

That's the point! How can anyone concentrate on anything other than wanting to pummel the daft prick with the bastard drum! I've lost my rag with this now! It's f**king obvious for god's sake, drums are cak! even the people sticking up for the footballing Alan Whites of this world will have to agree that constant drumming throughout games or in fact drumming at all is bloody annoying! BAN THEM! Bollocks to all this PC, got to be nice to the drummers or we'll end up with a totalitarian football stadium nonsense, they're sh*t get rid of them. And seeing as though we have banned them we now have room to re-instate the atom bomb, i mean the air horn!

Good night!

Read the ground regulations that are posted on the outside of every turnstile (unless they have been ripped down again) it tells you what is prohibited in the ground. Airhorns are banned because they have a gas filled canister.

as I said the only way for MusicalIinstruments to get kicked out of football is if someone was injured by one.

God that was a very long night , certainly worth it with that display by England.

What wrong with a gas filled canister?   Is it because its flammable?
