The situation with chequers is that we have a piece of paper which entitles the club to a certain amount of money if and when the land is actually sold. In the absence of a buyer for the land there is no money to speak of.

to be fair 75 grand is gonna clear a hell of a lot of the debt, and to be air if lewis is off too at some point were gonna get a bit from that and a fair whack in incentives, but at the same time we need to get chequers sorted for a bit of spending money lol!

It would be nice if some aspects of the ground were more aesthetically pleasing but if we did clear our debt and there was money to be spent I would like it to be used to ensure our survival in the conference. We have an A graded ground and if we were able to strngthen the team in just a couple of areas we could all have another year of conference national footy to look forward to.

oh agreed but that ammount of money would be a big boost to a financially tenable club so it could also go on work around the ground

Yes, I think the new toilets would be at the top of the "must do" list.

can some1 clear this up....

since the news broke of this money involving Craney many people have highlighted the fact that if we sell Lewis then we could earn some "spending money" i was under the impression Lewis was a free agent and not under contract. so am i right in thinking he can go for nothing????
and if this is correct who rekns we shud get him on a contract, and do we think he will sign it?
