Denham gave his all for Dave Pace in a very difficult season.

He didn't call the 'cote a w&&&&r did he?...that'd be unacceptable I guess.

Whats the betting he knocks us out of the FA cup with a Tony Sullivan-eque performance and celebrates shaking his fist at the moss lane dug out?

Denham did not have an argument with Heathcote when he added extra training on a Friday - he arranged to meet him the folowing day to discuss.

By this point, Heathcote had already touted Chris about, calling other clubs.

Now does that sound like Denham wants to leave? More like Heathcote wants rid to me!

And Chrissy did not refuse to train last Friday - he was at a funeral which GH was told about, yet failed to mention when asked of his whereabouts.

Denham will be a big loss to Alty - it's getting ridiculous that a discussion with GH has been blown up in to a blazing row and a fall out.

I really hope Denham doesn't leave. I've seen him play a few times and he has been excellent on every occassion. He was brilliant in the game against Barrow. If he does go, for whatever reason, then I agree, it will be a bad loss for Alty.

maybe this is what the hand gesture was about the other week.
when everyone was chanting theres only one chrissy denham.

Cote was directing the sign at him, not the fans.

has anyone else considered this.

GH has asked me to post the following on his behalf:

“I have not touted Chris Denham around to any clubs. One manager had already expressed an interest in Chris some weeks ago. I told him he was not available. I subsequently recontacted him to let him know of Chris’s discontent. I have no desire to keep anybody who is unhappy at the club. Chris made it clear that he would not be available for training on Fridays after I had agreed that the funeral last week would take precedance. Chris contacted the manager of another club, who phoned me on Thursday. That club is currently trying to find a way of signing Chris that is agreeable to all parties.”

Contradiction surely? I maintain Chris is absolutly in the right.

It is admirable the players who agreed to training on Friday but it is also their right to refuse.

I suspect the slagging off of an unamed player(s) has upset Chris and who wouldn't be?

I had a ridiculous complaint made about me.....apparently I got to the destination late and drove too fast...my boss has backed me to the hilt.....had she publicly slagged me off I'd be contacting our rival companies.

Did the 'cote ask you to apologise for making a wanker gesture in front of the paying public many of whom are his supporters? NO? Well I'm staggered.

Managers should back the players all the way - not try to get rid because they said they are unhappy.

Surely seeing how you can make them happy and have a bit of team moral would have been the right thing to do in this case?

Whether Heathcote's hand gesture was at Denham or at the fans, either is unacceptable for a Manager at this level.

Just a few points:

Do we want/can we afford to carry a player who doesn't want to play for Alty?

Can we afford to have a player sat in the stand on full pay?

Would we rather have the money available to secure the signing of another player (eg. Shaun Densemore) on a long term contract?

This matter doesn't seem to have ended the way any of us would have wanted but it seems inevitable that Denham is going to leave now. If so, we should just make the best of it, let him get on with his career and do the best thing by both parties.

Sorry to say this but if this was a certain winger (who played for us last year) refusing to train with us last year peoples views would be totally different and they would be backing Grahams stance. It just makes me laugh.

However, really hope that somehow they manage to sort out their differences as we need quality players in the squad and also Denham works so hard when he plays.
