I wasn't there so I suppose my comments have no value but the venerable Dr Laidlar indicates that the freekick given away was by the corner flag.

Admittedly it's daft to give any free kick away but by the same taken would it not be reasonable to expect us to be able to defend a free kick into the box?

Sadly, and I say this through no predilection of my own, I fear not. There may possibly be a splash of colour provided by the smattering of weeping adolescent pustules about his face. I would guess he could usually be found in a darkened room, continually manipulating his withered stump as he sits hunched in front of his monitor.
