I think it might be the continuous sh*te throw ins that have pushed us towards Dale taking throw ins.

If I'm honest though I'd struggle to label it a 'long throw', more a medium one, it needs a flick on before it gets flicked on. Possibly the best thing about it is the inevitable clearance goes straight back to Dale.

in the second half (probably) matt doughty was about to take one when, as he was running forward, michael welch shouted at dale to take it. which i found interesting as a newcomer to the team.

He's probably getting sick of that, he ran forward for the Stevenage penalty as we've wroked out he's by far and away the best taker at the club but Colin's pride wouldn't let him hand it over.

As one of the most competent players at the club who keeps that left hand side running all on his own he must get slightly annoyed at it.
