Thanks to SAFE and Co that is. Reidy et al.

Bring back Reidy I say and the promise land awaites us.

How is Peter Ecky?

I hope you passed on Alty fans kind regards as you say he is a legend.

I still raise a smile when I remember his tale of gathering the Alty fans by the tunnel at an away game to spur the lads on for the 2nd half...as the lads ran out the big man raised his fist and bellowed "COME ON ALTY!" causing Lawrence Iro to flinch and duck  thinking he was gonna get hit!

Sadly, like many before him, I believe Peter cracked under the strain of fighting for Alty (and boy did he fight)  while the last time time I spoke to him he said he still loves Alty and always looks for our result he just couldn't bring himself to turn up at moss Lane (though i begged him) as he knew he'd be hooked again.

Peter Read had a clash of personalities with some officials of the club.  We'll leave it at that as I don't want to speak for him.

Needless to say I reiterated to him that he is still fondly thought of at Moss Lane and there would always be a lot of people delighted to see him back.

And I thanked him again for stealing five years of my life to chair SAFE with him and others!

Top man, he'll be back in the fold when he is ready.

There might have been a couple of light ales in the system but I stand by my sentiments.

Quite how this karma thing works I'm not sure but after only three posts I am a little confused how my rating is so low????
