VULCAN TO THE SKY
« on: February 14, 2009, 10:21:33 PM »

Along with Alty this is my favourite other pastime.

Please visit the web site and see if you can help www.tvoc.co.uk

They are extremely short of pledges for help and are in a dark place at the moment.

Whatever happened to the one that was at Blackpool Airport ? Some pub bought It I think, didn't pay up and it was dismantled  :(

One of my sons loves planes, spends lots of time with me at the airport in the summer.

I think in the end it was scrapped  :( :(

There is a vulcan scramble day today, all pledges welcome, this will ensure the Vulcan flies this year and is sacheduled to appear at the southport Air Show in September.

The nearest Vulcan to view close up is at RAF Museum near Telford. There is free entry and an excellent display of all the V bombers.

Ahh, I always sit on the sand dunes down at the airport for the Southport Air Show, most of the planes use the airport, and you can watch across the estuary. Hope they sort the Vulcan out.

I am so jealous Blackpool alty, I could not attend today as my junior girls team were in a tournament.

But they did win it which made me extremely proud.

I believe the display is better this year? Hopefully I will see her at Fairford next month.
