Having watched one of the all time great war movies this evening: which actor from the film Escape to Victory has played against Alty?

Ardiles...........

Prefer the Guns of Navarone myself...............Escape to Victory is good film and great fun to watch, but the football scenes are a joke.
When Pele scores the trademark bicycle wheel goal, the defender stands and watches......I reckon most of us would have easily got to that ball before Pele.
Michael Caine is a 50 yr old 'current' England footballer with a beer belly, despite living on PoW rations !

Ardiles indeed.

One of the best things about the fils is it allowed footballers being profiled in Shoot magazine to say their fave actor is Mike Summerbee.
