Guess the first league fixture. £5 stake, total kitty of £230. Winner gets £115 (50%) runner up gets £57.50 (25%) club gets £57.50 (25%). The runner up is the person who guesses the right club but wrong venue. The fixtures are released on the 2nd or 3rd of July, depending on which paper/website you read so this needs to be done quickly. I suggest using this thread to pledge your £5 stake and make your choice. Obviously the success of this idea relies on selling all 46 possible choices so spread the word. If someone has a good way to collect the money please suggest it, otherwise i suggest you all pay the club directly (this thread can be printed and names ticked off when you pay)

Firstly its 44 choices, not 46, we won't play ourselves, so that alters the dividend. I'm happy to join in and pay, I'll send a cheque to the club but how is this administered and who pays out the winners if it is run externally by yourself Baldrick? Needs a bit more thought and organisation I'd say but all in all not a bad idea.

I'd go for AFC Wimbledon at home BTW. Never played the Wombles in all the years of our relative non-league success.

Because of the time limit i think the best way to do it is on this thread. Everyone names a club home or away on a first come first served basis and when all predictions are made i will do a printout and take it to the club. People can pay the club directly, for example you can put your username on the cheque and someone at the club can tick your prediction as paid. 46 is right, we play 23 games at home and 23 away.

I made an Access database for this. When it is full i will print it and take it to the club. I think it is best if people pay the club directly.

Come on everyone. This has to be done by Wednesday evening. There are still plenty of options available. Get your predictions in.

I fancy AFC Wimbledon at home. As that's gone i'm not going to pay a fiver to pick someone else. It'd be like backing a horse you don't think will win.

It looks like this is a waste of time. I will give it until midnight Thursday but nobody seems interested.
