and because of that people never get in the habit of going to live games. years ago i used to know several utd/city fans who would sometimes come to alty when their team wasnt playing. the big clubs are mainly season tickets now

Is the £5 offer still on?

my point is more that that the crowd at old trafford or maine road used to be made up of a hard core who went every week and then thousands who went to a few games now and then, thats no longer the case
partly to do with season tickets, partly because you have to buy in advance with a credit card, but generally people never get into the habit of going. many younger people think that the way you consume football is on telly

good point today really. onwards and upwards

Tammy were happier with the draw as they were the ones making the substitution in injury time time added on for stoppages.

All good points, just wish we could get the locals in the ground. We had fair gates in the 80's, but to me not representative of the team. Nothing fckd me off more than walking up Moss Lane after the game when we were really good and locals opening doors to ask how we'd gone on. The area is and always was apathetic.

see wrexham/luton is still HT
Started at 8pm

Wales in a different time zone!

I'd have to check but I believe today was the anniversary of a particularly deadly mining disaster in the Wrexham area and the fifteen minute delay was because there was a ceremony, including music from the miner's welfare brass brand from the colliery in question.

Indeed it was the gresford disaster was 75 years ago, wrexham have created a special kit for the game and are flogging them off to raise funds for charity (this involves taking last seasons away kit and sticking a new badge on it)
