FAO Saughall

I used to smoke 20-25 a day and had tried to stop several times. I managed it after my second child was born some 10 years ago. Basically I succeeded because I really wanted to. Other attempts were a bit half hearted. Once it was clear in my head that I was going to do this I actually found it quite easy.

Tips....one day at a time, then a week at a time etc.
Avoid habitual smoking situations, eg after a meal, with a pint etc.
Throw all the ashtrays away, or get the wife to hide them.

Good luck mate, if you do it you won't look back. :)

You are Saughall, best wishes you will win if you want to. Its not that addictive, it tastes sh*t and you only enjoy one out of every 10 or so?

Gave up on the 3rd to be different!

As far as today goes, I usually go through about 10 over a game (more vs FGR, less vs Vics ... you can see where this is going!) so not having any was a triumph of willpower over tension.

Didn't go in the club after the match, just drove straight home and came on here - changing habits is important I've been told.

Anyway, thanks for the support everyone.
