How many times.....
« on: January 05, 2007, 06:53:02 PM »

Will we hear on Match of the Day tmrw. evening the legend "Are you watching Altrincham" from the 500 or so actual  Macc Fans and the other 4000 bandwagon jumpers. They can't forget about us when the TV cameras are out. The game is actually a sell out btw as its 25 quid in for Chelski fans, which as anyone whose seen a Premier League game at Stamford Brdige will know is about half the normal price.

Anyone, here's hoping for at least the equal of Brigton's win over the Vics a couple of rounds ago. ;D

Massive dilemma for me, obviously need Macc to lose heavily , however my Chelsea supporting cu*t of a brother in law is going for his only cheapo day of the season, so basically need somehow both teams to lose 10-0! Don't get me going on him. I'd need my own seperate message board.

Such issues, How will my weekend not be spoiled!

1-0 Chelski - dull game to watch Chelski emerge with no credit and Macc are out.  highlight is a brawl resulting in both teams down to 9 missing key players through suspension (and injury if your feeling really mean) and Ince landing one on jose to make everyones day!

You have a great weekend

All we can hope is that Chelsea wipe the floor with them.

The other ther thing that gets me about the FA Cup is the media hardly ever mention the biggets giant killing of the lot - The Alty doing top flight Birmingham at St. Andrews.

Yeh the video footage is a bit pants - but we still did 'em 2 - 1.

can't see that hapening to macclescum tomorrow.

We we're mentioned on 5Live yesterday evening for our exploits against Birmingham, Ronnie Ellis was interviewed. They even mentioned that we made it into the New York Times.

The programme was however all about FA Cup giantkilling.

I also hope that Northwich put a decent run together and win the league.

Oh come on why mention Altrincham when Stevenage getting a DRAW at HOME to Newcastle was much more of an achievement and gets talked about every year.

PS
Like Macc beating Chelsea would have been anything like us beating Birmingham. They are full time and both league clubs  ;)
I doubt a 'Part Time' club will ever do it again but surely one of the 'full time' clubs should have a chance.

We did it the hard way - But never get mentioned as we are from 'the north'
