Hyde United manager Neil Tolson was quoted in Frday's Manchester Evening News as saying that he fancies his teams chances at Droylsden this afternoon because "their excellent surface will suit us".

Excellent surface ? Droylsden ? Mind you, it is the MEN - nearly as reliable as BBC text.

It was noticeable that as soon as Pacey bought some decent footballers who could actually pass it to each other he stopped ploughing the pitch.

Billiard table it is not though.

remember going there about 10 years ago.. The pitch was fit for sheep and horses.

I've been twice this season - it's a good surface.

That Tony Gray up front for them looks really lively, Conference standard at least.
