On the evidence of surveying the Moss Lane surface from the vantage point of the front bedroom overlooking the stadium, I'd say that a thaw has transpired.

However, the forecast for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day is not promising at all and I fear that a frozen pitch will scupper us again:

I trust you'll be charging up Mrs Cult's hairdryer in order to try and beat the big freeze on Friday morning?   ;)

Just wondering whether it'd be any use if a few people popped down and did some luight running in trainers on the affected parts? Has worked for me on park pitches before, might soften out the pitch a bit?

We really need to get this on, a seriously lucrative Xmas has been wiped out.

Can't we bring in a favour from Man Utd, as they use our pitch. I bet they have some kit.

The club asked last week and they had nothing suitable (undersoil heating)

How is the pitch holding up at present, Darren? Any idea?

I need my festive football fix!  :)

OK fair comment Darren. Forecast looks terrible for New Years Eve too.

Best fixture list over Christmas for years shafted.

Here we go again, the club has been shut since Monday.

Part time and proud of it................becoming a bit embarrassing I'd say.

Yes, i've been at work but there is no relevance to the situation at Alty as I work in Kingston Upon Thames.,

This club need to wise up and get prepared, unless you think chucking good money away is ok. No management over Xmas, except GH, Chairman away, Grahame in hospital.......clearly no fault there.

I am very fckn sick of the team I've supported for all my life being an amateur set up. Modernise and get where you should be.

The club offices have only been shut since Monday as there has been no games.  People have been in and out including the groundsman who has been working on the pitch.

Please please don't lets start this again.

Can't you see it will lead to a thread on the Wrexham forum saying

"Altrincham haven't been on the pitch since Monday..what a disgrace etc etc etc"?

That is not what Darren meant

Yes ok Mark, I understand what you say.

I just feel that we really are as a club underperforming administratively and it is on occasion rather embarrassing.

I am not criticising any individuals here either, but we are poor when compered to other clubs.
