After his comments on the Macc game

"The result is a normal one against a team with honour, but a team from the Conference,” Mourinho said, to raised eyebrows all round."

Always be non league on loan to the league chaps.

Other than that lapse, he was pretty magnanamous.

Which is more than can be said of the awful Shevchenko who put in one of the most inept displays I've ever seen.

We did bloody well considering we had a centre-back in goals and 10 men for the entire second half and only nine men for the last 17 minutes.

Well worth the trip down for the moment when John Murphy slotted home!

I still say the person who wanted Chelsea and Macc to lose had about as good a day as he was likely to have - heavy Macc defeat, Chelsea can't take credit, Macc player sent off, that Macc fan on tv saying that a goal in a 6-1 defeat was his proudest moment....

Anyway, back to the league. We'll play you again one of these days!

It was an amazing moment when it went in, because at the time it really mattered.

Had the ref not fallen for the deliberate ploy to get the'keeper sent off (funny how the penalty area is the only place where you can get punished twice for being kicked in the face) and we'd have had 11, it would have been a far closer game.

Ten and then nine men with no 'keeper against Chelsea and there would be Premier League sides who would be conceding six.

But at the end of the day, Macclesfield Town's Dave Morley faced up Andrei Shevchenko as both a centre back and a goalkeeper, and made him look like a fool.

So what if we lost 6-1. Martin Bullock and John Miles both skinned CAshley Cole. Matt McNeil's flick-on made Carvalho fall on his arse and John Murphy nutmegged Hilario.

Fantastic!

THAT is what the FA Cup is all about. Plain and simple.

You just don't get that anywhere else.
