Ah, the great Wayne Baker!

Wasn't he in goals when Vics scored their dramatic late equaliser in Paul Rowlands first game in charge, having failed to return the ball to us after an injury?

ALTY 1981,

Are you Brian Flynn in disguise...?!

Absolutely spot on with that impressive recollection.

Have a Goodwin!

Steve Cross scores two on his debut...and it's against the Vics - what a way to become an instant Moss Lane hero!

I've never forgotten their filthy cheating that afternoon and never will.

By way of a change for Neru - how about Nelson Stiffle? His name appears in the programme of our famous (and never mentioned by football pundits EVER!) win over Birmingham in the Welcome Altrincham section. Never heard of him but sounds a pretty cool name!

Nelson Stiffle played back when I was quite young. He moved onto Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic. He was in their Cup WINNING Side against Manchester United.
