Not Alty - Blackburn Rovers
« on: February 07, 2010, 08:22:34 PM »

After seeing that a Blackburn fan had been killed by his own fans in the away end yesterday, I did some more digging and it seems that its quite common for Rovers fans to fight amongst themselves and they have a nasty hooligan core.  I thought that they took about 300 all over but apparently not..

It's absolutely dreadful and very, very sad what happened yesterday. Whatever action they take now it will never be enough to give that poor man his life back.

Blackburn is one of the worst towns in this country.

It is a cess pit.

i like blackburn oddly enough.  they always had a stong NF contingent in the 70s so racism is not new in the town.

I used to go to Accrington Stanley's ground on a regular occassion but to watch Great Harwood Town.

At least they had the decency to help out their local non league team by allowing them to play their home matches there free.

Unfortunately it all changed when they got promoted into the Football League and they stopped the arrangement which effectivekly spelt the end of Great Harwood Town who folded.

Since then I've noticed from TV shots that they've put a roof and seating on the ends, but I would have to admit that it's not the most picturesque ground in East Lancashire.

By all counts this wasn't a fight - rather some drunk fans playing "head the bin". The 30 year old guy who died wasn't involved but the bin hit him on the back of the head when it was thrown in the air. A 25 year old man was arrested - he's now been released on bail. Drunken antics gone wrong, it seems.
