The Mighty Quinn (well Gerry Quinn)

not everyday you are asked a question about Gerry Quinn but seems he has joined Liversedge FC as manager.

Strange world.

LIVERSEDGE FC have appointed former Emley, Ossett Albion and Ashton United boss Gerry Quinn as their new manager.
The announcement was made today (Friday) after Quinn accepted the post at a meeting last night. He will officially take over at training on Tuesday night.
Caretaker bosses Mark Brier and Simon Wood will take charge of the side for tomorrow's Northern Counties East League Premier Division clash at home to high flying Mickleover Sports at Clayborn (kick off 3pm).
The squad were also told of Quinn's appointment last night.
Sedge Chairman Bob Gawthorpe said: "We were all very impressed with the candidates and any one of the 12 applicants could have done us proud.
"As a result I'm delighted to announce that we have Gerry as our new manager.
"I've known Gerry for several years and he's a tremendous manager, with a reputation for getting clubs promoted and winning trophies.
"He knows this level of football inside out and also has the respect and contacts in the game to take our club where we want to go.
"He will be in place for next week's match and we all wish him well. Exciting times for the club," Mr Gawthorpe added.
For reaction to Gerry Quinn's appointment and all the latest from Liversedge FC, see next Friday's Spenborough Guardian.

Always thought Quinn's contribution was underrated at Alty.  Top ten in the Conference and a great cup run on a very tight budget. And he introduced some good players that stuck around for a while: Bomber, Carmo, France etc.

Then he made way for Paul Rowlands...  ::)

How could you forget to mention the great Ian Tunnacliffe, who Gerry Quinn brought over from Emley?Y
